What is custom spray tan?
A custom spray tan is the way to achieve a natural looking tan without the harmful effects of UV rays. A tanning technician hand sprays each individual with a sunless tanning solution that will complement their skin tone and tanning preferences. Since the solution is applied by a technician, not a booth or machine, the results are extremely personalized and natural looking. *See "Tan Prep" page for more information & instructions.
How It Works
Sunless tanning solutions work with the outer layer of the skin only by using a colorless sugar called dihydroxyacetone (or DHA). DHA reacts with the top layer of your skin to transform it to a golden bronze color. DHA has been approved by the FDA for use in the cosmetic and sunless tanning industry for years.
Why should I spray tan?
According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million skin cancers in over two million people are diagnosed annually. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime.
A tan, whether you get it on the beach, in a bed, or through incidental exposure, is bad news, any way you acquire it. Tans are caused by harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning lamps, and if you have one, you’ve sustained skin cell damage.
No matter what you may hear at tanning salons, the cumulative damage caused by UV radiation can lead to premature skin aging, such as, wrinkles and brown spots, as well as skin cancer. Indoor ultraviolet (UV) tanners are 74 percent more likely to develop melanoma than those who have never tanned indoors.

have always wanted to have naturally beautiful tanned skin, but the
fact is…I don’t. I knew I didn’t want to sit in the sun for hours or
lay in a tanning bed. I did not want to expose my skin to harmful UV
rays. As an aesthetician and having learned about skin and aging, I did
not want to experience additional sun damage or premature aging. So, I
began getting spray tans! I then took it a step further…I wanted to
know what I was applying to my skin. I wanted to make sure that I was
